Putt to glory with MiniGolf Tour

There are many different golfing options available on Xbox. We’ve got the fun Golf With Your Friends, the mad Golf Club: Wasteland, the puzzling Golf Zero and the simulation affairs of PGA Tour 2K21 and the upcoming EA SPORTS PGA TOUR. It’s safe to say that the list of best golf games on the market is ever-expanding. But now there’s another option – MiniGolf Tour. 

MiniGolf Tour rocks up from the JanduSoft team, to show that, and we quote ‘The most fun MiniGolf has arrived’. Whether it plays out like that is up for debate, but we’ll be sure to find out in our full review. 

It’s priced at £4.99 and does pretty much what you would expect any MiniGolf/Crazy Golf title to attempt – it drops you onto the course and requests you to sink your ball in as few shots as possible. It’s simple stuff. 

Unfortunately it seems as if MiniGolf is strictly a single player affair, with the Xbox Store listing totally omitting any form of multiplayer – although screenshots do slightly go against that angle. And honestly, that could be the nail in the coffin for MiniGolf Tour even before we’re swung a club in anger. 

If you do get involved though, expect to be treated to easy to use controls and simple gameplay, four different tour of challenge, each with a variety of obstacles, customisation for your balls and ‘stunning’ 3D visuals and effects. 

By playing you should also be able to earn and gather up coins and gems, which will unlock further collectibles as you progress. 

We’re not sure that MiniGolf Tour has enough to go up against the, frankly, brilliant Golf With Your Friends, but should you wish to give it a little hit, you’ll find the Xbox Store capable of providing the download you need.
