Back in the mid-19th Century, the railroads wizards of the time created track that traversed the finest German valleys, constructed between Freiburg and Dresden, over inclines that would normally be seen as utterly treacherous. Now, those same lines make their way to Train Sim World 2, with the Dovetail Games team providing players with more opportunities than they may ever have thought possible.
Available to purchase, download and add into your Train Sim World 2 base game is the mouthful-of-a-title, Train Sim World 2: Tharandter Rampe: Dresden – Chemnitz DLC. Priced at £24.99, this latest addition to the Train Sim World 2 timetable offers players with the chance to traverse the tracks laid out ahead of them, as they move between the gorgeous valley scenes of Saxony, before moving out to Chemnitz and more.
It’s the Tharandter Rampe that is the focus, much like the name suggests, and this DLC will let you jump into the cabin of the iconic DB BR 612, complete with its tilting mechanisms and all. Your task will be to make your way around the lines at hand, helping commuters get from A to B and ensuring that any freight that needs shifting is done so.
You can be sure it won’t be an easy task though.
You’ll need the base game of Train Sim World 2 to hand in order to enjoy what the Train Sim World 2: Tharandter Rampe: Dresden – Chemnitz DLC allows. But if you’re up for the challenge will discover the content at a digital store near you. Our favourite is the Xbox Store, providing the DLC for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players, but it should also be on the digital offerings of other formats too.
