Back in April, the cold drew in with the arrival of the brilliant SnowRunner. Building on everything that came before it with Spintires: MudRunner, it provided an off-roading experience like no other, giving players the opportunity to slowly work their way through the wilderness, tackling objectives and missions with some of the biggest, most powerful trucks in the world. It was an utter success too. Now though that same experience is getting enhanced, with the first major update for SnowRunner teaching us how to Search & Recover.
Available to purchase, download and add into your game on all the usual formats, SnowRunner: Search & Recover is the first of four planned bits of DLC for the base game, with it available to own either as a separate purchase, or via the Season Pass and Premium Editions of the game. Honestly, with SnowRunner providing such a deep experience, if you have any form of temptation for what this brings, we’ll most certainly advise you go the Season Pass route.
Priced at £5.79, Search & Recover will see you heading out into the harsh landscape of SnowRunner once more, this time in order to track down a long lost World War II bomber plane. This is hidden away somewhere on the new Russian map, a new landscape you’ll find yourself traversing in a couple of new trucks – the TUZ 16 “Actaeon” and the unmistakable Ford 750 4×4 Crewcab. Of course, if you’d prefer to utilise any of the other vehicles present in the game, you can do so.
Further additions that come about via th Search & Recover expansion include skin types, new interior customisation options and more. And of course, those who do go down the Season Pass route will find further content dropping in the form of additional missions and modding options for those on PC in the weeks to come.
