We’ve played many games this year, some great, some rubbish, many weird. But we’re not sure we’ve played many that are quite as strange as Super Snake Block DX on Xbox.
Super Snake Block DX from DERIK D.F is the latest weird and wonderful title to arrive on Xbox. It’s playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S too, fully optimised for the latter consoles. There’s Smart Delivery in house too, so no matter what console you play on, it’ll be seen as the best version possible.
Super Snake Block DX slithers on…
But what is Super Snake Block DX on Xbox? Well, it’s an endless runner type affair in which you take control of a snake; a super snake no less. Ploughing through stages, your task will be to make it through the likes of a forest, a desert, snow-stages and more. Smashing boxes will help, grabbing power-ups even more so.
The thing is, collide with scenery objects and your little snake will begin losing parts of its body. When you’re slipping and sliding in the dark, that’s an even trickier test. It’s certainly a far cry from the likes of Snake Pass, which for us is up there as one of the best snake games on Xbox.

Coming to console in ‘Deluxe Version’ flavours, the key features of Super Snake Block DX are pretty deep. In fact, all of the following will be in place.
- Deluxe Version: High definition graphics and audio, enhanced visuals and fluid 60fps image.
- Relaxing gameplay
- Simple and addictive control
- Varied Stages: Forest, Desert, Graveyard and Snow
- Body Pieces: You need to pick them up to increase your size. Making it more resistant.
- Boxes: Use the snake’s body to break boxes and earn points. The speed increases with the number of points acquired during the match.
- Shield: Grants temporary resistance. Allows the player to break boxes without losing parts of the snake’s body.
- Magnet: Attracts all nearby coins for a short period of time.
- Coins: Use them to unlock new stages and more agile skins.
