A roguelite, tycoon, space sim which deals in a ton of comedy and cooperative play, Spacelines from the Far Out looks to be a very interesting proposition indeed, all as it launches on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, through Game Pass too.
Attempting to blend the golden era of air travel with that 1960s utopian dream of space age glory, Spacelines from the Far Out from Skystone Games and Coffenauts comes to PC and Xbox with one thing in mind – fun.
Priced at £12.49 or free via Game Pass, in Spacelines from the Far Out you’ll be tasked with making the most of the commercial Spaceline industry as you head off on an adventure into the unknown. It’s here where you – alone or with others in tow (this is playable for 1-4 players locally) – will get the chance to become a full on space-treasure hunter, heading out to see what you can find at every opportunity.
Spacelines from the Far Out pretty much covers the basics you need from a game from there on out. Running roguelike tendencies, tycoon elements and space sim ideas, you’ll be found collecting and upgrading forevermore.
You can be sure that it won’t ever be serious either, with comedic tones underlaying the overall premise. We’re keen to see how Coffenauts and Skystone Games deliver this one, looking to get hands-on as soon as we can. You can be sure that once we’ve spent some time in the galactic space of Spacelines from the Far Out, a full review of it will drop.
Until then, the Xbox Store will sort you out with an Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S download. PC players have a pick of Steam, the Windows Store or the Epic Games Store from June 9th. Let us know what you decide on.
