We’ve seen Ubisoft deliver a number of new gameplay opportunities to fans of Assassin’s Creed over the years, and with the introduction of Valhalla back in 2020, that trend has continued. Today though it’s all about the most ambitious expansion for Assassin’s Creed yet as we take in the Dawn of Ragnarök.

Available to purchase, download and add into our base Assassin’s Creed Valhalla games, Dawn of Ragnarök plays out on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Google Stadia and PC to continue the second year of support for Valhalla.

You’ll need a copy of the base game to hand to be able to continue your journey, but from there the Dawn of Ragnarök will see you and Eivor attempting to embrace your destiny as Odin. This means you’ll get access to new divine powers as a new legendary saga begins to play out.

You see, the dwarven kingdom of Svartalfheim is crumbling, and amid the chaos, Odin’s beloved son, Baldr, has been taken prisoner by the unkillable fire giant, Surtr. It’s up to you to put things right.

Should you wish to drop back into the world of Valhalla, whether it be for the Dawn of Ragnarök or the previous Crossover Stories that have launched too, you’ll be well sorted with what is on offer here.

Expect to find the Dawn of Ragnarök expansion over at the Xbox Store, the PlayStation Store the Google Stadia Store or the usual PC offerings.

We may well be following this up with some full review thoughts soon too.

DLC Description:

In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök, the most ambitious expansion in franchise history, Eivor must embrace their destiny as Odin, the Norse god of Battle and Wisdom. Unleash new divine powers as you embark on a desperate quest through a breathtaking world.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
