It plays out by seeing you joining Jack, Quint, June and Dirk as they go in search of the mysterious Staff of Doom; an ultra-powerful bit of kit that is their only hope in finally taking down Malondre, the Queen of the Slime Monsters. You see, it’s her who seeks to summon Rezzoch, the Ancient Destructor of the Worlds, and the gang can’t be having that.
With 1-4 player offline couch cooperative play to hand – and the promise of online functionality a little further down the line – what’s present here in The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom should well appeal to many; particularly the youngsters who are fans of the show and books.
