The next instalment in the multi-million selling fantasy franchise that is Trine will soon be strutting its stuff across Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Today, the teams at Modus Games and Frozenbyte have proudly announced the full release date, a brand new, rather awesome, trailer, and some delightful pre-order bonuses for Trine 4.

Coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC come October 8th 2019, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince promises not just thrilling action sequences, but epic lush environments, and as the fantasy masters at Frozenbyte and their publisher Modus Games confirm the release date, you can take in those environments via a gorgeous new gameplay trailer.

Showcasing the four-player co-op feature for the very first time, the new trailer for Trine 4 gives us all a glimpse at the new skills and multiplayer action that will be found in the upcoming fourth installment of the beloved franchise. With an all-new combat system, those looking to spend time vanquishing fantastical new enemies and solving new physics-based puzzles, will be in their element as the next instalment in the Trine series promises to be the biggest and best Trine yet, all with a ton more gameplay than that found in Trine 1, 2, and 3.

Whilst Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is the biggest of draws, alongside the series’ new instalment, Modus will also release the Trine: Ultimate Collection, and this promises to be the best way to experience the entire Trine series for new and existing fans alike. Packed with bonus content and coming to retail, the bundle will include Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, and Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince. It’ll be available Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC both physically and digitally, and should you wish to preorder it, you’ll find a little bonus thrown in for good measure.

Trine: Ultimate Collection at retail will include:

  • Trine 1-4
  • Trine Series Original Soundtrack (download code)
  • Trine 4 Digital Art Book (download code)
  • Collector’s Reversible Cover Sheet
  • Physical Trine 4 World Map

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
