Wales Interactive delve into the battle royale scene with Bloodshore for PC and console

Edit: Bloodshore is now confirmed to release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC come November 3rd 2021.

Whenever we hear that Wales Interactive are preparing to dish up another gaming experience, it’s obvious that it’ll be an FMV of sorts; a narrative driven tale which works as nothing more than an interactive movie. They are great at it too, having dropped the likes of Maid of Sker, Don’t Knock Twice and more to many formats. Next up for Wales though is a deadly battle royale – kinda – as they confirm that Bloodshore will be released this November.

Okay okay, so it’s a battle royale with a difference and far removed from the likes of PUBG, CoD Warzone and Fortnite, this is a battle royale with Wales Interactive’s footprint stamped all over it. Yep, Bloodshore will be delivering an interactive movie styled battle royale to your gaming format of choice this November, and it’s one you won’t want to miss.

Hitting Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Mac and iOS, Bloodshore has been put together by those at Wayout Pictures, Good Gate Media, Posterity Entertainment and Wales Interactive as we get given the chance to follow the life of Nick. You see, Nick is a a washed-up actor who is competing on Kill/Stream for a life-changing cash prize, although a sinister truth is hidden on The Island he finds himself in. Each playthrough changes dramatically depending on player choices and the relationships built, some will bring deadly consequences for Nick and his fellow contestants.

So yeah, it’s a battle royale, but not, and instead follows this deadly televised battle royale between high-profile streamers, entertainers, and death row inmates, featuring eight hours of FMV footage, the most Wales Interactive has ever produced. With the producers of The Complex and Five Dates behind it, we’re sure it’ll be something well worth checking out.

We’ll be sure to follow with a release date and then review of Bloodshore when the time calls, but for now check out the trailer below in order to get a little more insight into matters.

You’ll find even more info over on the Steam page.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
