Here we are again rounding up the best Xbox news, reviews and opinions from the last week. The last seven days have flown by so in case you’ve missed anything, let us tell you about our favourite pieces from between the 10th-16th July 2016.
5 Xbox One games we can’t wait to play in 2016!
Already halfway through 2016, and having already stated our top 5 Xbox One retail games of the year so far, it seems only right to look ahead to five more games we just can’t wait to play in the remainder of 2016!
It seems that there will be something for everybody in the coming months too, with RPG’s, FPS’s and more anime to dig your teeth into, building up to what will surely be another great year for Xbox gamers in 2017 (seems a long time away though, doesn’t it?).
But what games join the awesome looking South Park: The Fractured But Whole in our list? Hit the link above and find out!
Unravel available for free via the EA Access Vault on Xbox One
EA Access is a beautiful thing, with the subscription scheme being one of our favourites on Xbox. EA certainly haven’t let your money go to waste either, as right now you can get the visually stunning, slightly puzzling, Unravel for free!
Any EA Access member can now pick up the game and join Yarny on his journey through the tough and harsh environments, so if you were unsure about picking the game up for full price a few months ago, there is no harm in taking a trip to the Vault and start downloading Unravel.
While you are there, why not check out some of the other games in the Vault as well? There is some awesome stuff vying for your time.
Worms W.M.D. gets release date and All-Stars pre-order extras bringing in Rocket League, Yooka-Laylee, Saints Row and more
Keep August 23rd as a date in your diary because that is exactly when we will treated to the latest chaotic, destructive Worms title to come out of the manic minds of Team17.
But what’s even more exciting is that Worms W.M.D brings with it a whole host of goodies from other game franchises to strike fear into the hearts of your enemy worms – as long as you pre-order the game of course. Not only will you be able to deploy the Saints Row IV Dubstep Gun onto your foes, but also the Goat-on-a-rope weapon inspired by Goat Simulator will be included – as well as many, many more.
Five Superstars who must make the WWE 2K17 roster
As with most, if not all, major sports games nowadays, the WWE 2K games now release on a regular yearly basis. As soon as the latest is announced, minds immediately turn towards who should be the cover star and, probably more importantly, who should make up the fighter roster. In fact, it could really make or break the game as an overall experience.
There is no doubt that huge names like Brock Lesnar will make an appearance (in fact Lesnar is on the box), but there will be some people left confused as to why a certain superstar isn’t in the game. Thus, James has a look at 5 of the biggest WWE names – the ones who simply must be included in the WWE 2K17 character roster.
We also have a separate post that tells you about the huge bonus content and other goodies packed into the WWE 2K17 Collector’s Edition. If you do want the full WWE 2K17 package, then look no further and hit the link.
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Review
There is literally no way you could possibly hope to escape the Star Wars hype, as with the success of the 7th episode, and an eighth on the horizon, the hype train is a full speed once again. Because of this you would expect a whole host of Star Wars games to burst onto shelves and that is exactly what is happening – well, at least one has.Â
Now we have the chance to play through the events of The Force Awakens on our Xbox One or Xbox 360, all through the humour and colour of LEGO. Yes, inevitably, Tt are back with their 5th Lego Star Wars outing, with new systems in place to make Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens stand out from the others and give us a unique experience.
If you’re a fan of LEGO, or a Star Wars nut, then you should be checking the game out asap. Our review tells you why.
That’s it for this week. Let us know what you think of the last week in the comments below. Catch you soon!
