In need of a new poker fix and are looking to win big? We’re not sure there are going to be too many better options than those found in Balatro as it goes all-in on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.

See, Balatro is going big, looking to own the table with the hands it puts down. It brings together poker with some roguelike mechanics. And then it chucks deck building on top. The aim? To create and deal with some of the most powerful of synergies that you’ll find in a game of cards, all in hope of winning big.

Win big with Balatro

Different from the usual poker games that land on Xbox, Balatro is found trying things new. It’s playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, giving players the opportunity to go combining hands with Joker cards, creating some of the most illegal hands known to humankind.

With bonus hands to hunt down, decks to uncover and blinds to beat, Balatro certainly seems to have a lot about it. We’ll find out for sure how those things come together as our full review of Balatro on Xbox Series X|S comes to the table.

For now, for a price of £12.49, this should well be a tempting little card affair. Grab a download of Balatro on Xbox from the Xbox Store.

Alternatively, Balatro is also on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Let us know if you’ll be giving this a go. Or will you be sticking to the tried and trusted poker found in the likes of Four Kings?
