Another week, another drop of new Kairosoft games onto Xbox. This time it's all about the anime of The Manga Works and the splashing fun of Pool Slide Story.Â
If there's anyone who knows a thing or two about some kitchen capers, it's Team17. After-all, it is they who have been the pushing power behind the brilliant Overcooked! series of games. Now though T17 are combining with Infinigon Games to deliver a sumptuous story and frantic food fights to the PC and console menu later this year.
It wasn't that long ago when Monster Train gave us the opportunity to embark on some new deck-building gameplay with release of the base game back in December. It went down brilliantly well too, and on the back of that success the team at Good Shepherd Entertainment have been good enough to provide us gamers with a host of new content via The Last Divinity DLC.
Kicking back with controller in hand and delightfully hacking and slashing your way through multiple enemies may well be all you want in life. And if that's the case, and an anime-style floats your boat for good measure, Ruvato: Original Complex on Xbox may be for you.
When Activision brought Tony Hawk's back from the dead in 2020 with reworked, rebooted versions of the classic Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2, skate fans were in for a treat with a game that provided everything they could ever have wanted in a skating title. But like many, Activision haven't sat on their laurels, and today we see Tony hit the next-gen with fully optimised skating action on Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
There are a ton of tank-themed titles kicking around on the Xbox Store. World of Tanks is the biggy, but then there are many more smaller shooting experiences present - Retro Tanks, Attack of the Toy Tanks, Of Tanks and Demons and the brilliantly named Tanky Tanks, for four. We can add another into the mix now though as Tank Brawl 2: Armor Fury rolls out for action.
Economic simulation, empire building, classic RTS skimish action, challenging single player campaign, versatile battle mode, competitive and cooperative multiplayer AND a ton of humour. Should you wish to become the Commander of Spacebase Startopia you're going to have a lot on your plate.
Ever since the initial announcement back in the summer of 2020, Balan Wonderworld has had a bit of hype around it. It's from the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog for one, but then with the power of Square Enix behind it, the deliverance of a wonderfully creative and exciting world, AND the opportunity to work some magic with numerous technicolored dreamcoats, those hype meters went into overdrive. Now though it's time for us players to really experience everything that has been created as Balan Wonderworld releases on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Since 2017, Die With Glory has been doing the rounds on PC and mobile, giving players the opportunity to fall into the shoes of a brave old viking warrior as they head of on the search of glory, and Valhalla. Today that same adventure comes to Xbox, and whilst those looking for the true afterlife would probably be best served by Ubisoft's epic Assassin's Creed Valhalla, this may well be able to fill a short, sharp gap.
Sometimes the simplest of gaming experiences are the best. At others, it's all about the wider picture. Genesis Noir is one of those latter games - a game centred around time, space and the chance to save your true love. And it just so happens to be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass.

If you can remember back to the 1990s, you'll no doubt have found memories of the platformers of the day. The decade was full of them and it is Kaze and the Wild Masks which has found inspiration from the best to deliver an old-school platforming experience, whilst mixing in modern ideas, to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Stadia and PC.
Josef Fares is one of the more… interesting figures within the games development community, always partial to an ecstatic interview and the like. His team at Hazelight Studios have been pioneering the co-op scene in recent years, with titles such as A Way Out paving the way for a new form of co-operative gaming. It Takes Two is the latest from Hazelight, and boy does it look like a cutesy, enjoyable romp best shared with someone close to you.
