Rhythmic, high-speed action and hypnotic beats have come to console today with Klang 2. The question is, are you ready conduct and control electronic symphonies as you clash with your foes?

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (fully optimised), PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, Klang 2 focuses on EDM-inspired battles in which combat clashes are played out via the undertone of rhythmic hypnotic beats, requiring you to time your attacks like never before.

It’s priced at £14.99 on the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, as Klang 2 throws you into a closed, unnamed, facility. It’s here where you – and Klang – must hone your skills, becoming at one with the rhythm and the combat skills which will help you escape these confines.

30 levels await, each of which is powered by the most banging EDM beats, playable at normal speed and via a sped-up version, seeing you attack, dodge and move to the rhythm of the beat. But Klang 2 mixes things up even more by ensuring that the combat system is semi-procedural, meaning that you should never find two tracks that ever play out the same. Throw in some bosses – we need bosses, yeah!? – alongside audio cues that have been put together by the likes of bLiNd and more, and Klang 2 looks to be a very interesting proposition.

The key features include:

  • * 30 levels of intense EDM-Action playable at normal and fast speeds
  • * Semi-procedural combat system ensures tracks never play exactly the same
  • * Bosses gradually introduce new gameplay rules
  • * Techno-greek aesthetic inspired by synthwave, musical symbolism and sculpture
  • * Music by legendary composer bLiNd and other talented artists such as James Landino, Arcien, and Nhato

“Klang 2 combines music and combat into a singular experience for fans of both action and rhythm games,” said Tom-Ivar Arntzen, Tinimations founder and sole developer of Klang 2. “I’m thrilled to invite fans of the Klang and newcomers alike into the world of Klang 2 on Steam today and consoles on November 17th!”

If you’re up for a beat-powered combat affair then we think Klang 2 should well be one to consider. Our full review will obviously be able to iron out the finest of details – keep an eye out for that soon.

In the meantime, the Xbox Store will sort you out with a download of the game on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. You’ll also find Klang 2 on the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop.

Game Description:

Imprisoned in a facility at an unknown location, Klang must hone his rhythm-combat skills inside audiovisual simulations. Fast-attack the enemy with flashy fireballs. Dodge and counter enemy attacks, and deal enough lightning damage to shame even the greatest gods of mythology. Achieve a euphoric state of trance through skillful play in this rhythm-action game with hypnotic beats and high-speed combat.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
