It may be getting on for some four years in age, but Golf With Your Friends from Team17 is still one of our most favourite of all golf games. Today, it gets better again, with the introduction of a Critical Hit DLC pack and the launch of Speed Golf.
Perhaps it’s due to the sheer variety of courses and items available in Golf With Your Friends which makes it appealing. Or maybe it’s down to the bragging rights, as we take to a number of crazy golf courses, going up against our mates, in hope of coming out on top. Whatever the reason, Golf With Your Friends is brilliant – a must-play game via Game Pass, Xbox, PlayStation, PC or Nintendo Switch.
Speed Mode!
Today though, it’s all about the addition of a new Speed Golf mode. Speed Golf is all about speed, with rankings no longer determined by the number of shots. Instead players must race to putt the ball in the quickest time possible to be crowned victorious.
To aid golfers in their quest to leave their friends in the dust, Speed Golf introduces a new hand break feature allowing for more accurate shot placement, and speed boost gates that have been placed strategically throughout the courses to help cut off those ever-precious seconds to help players race their way to victory.
A free addition to the base game of Golf With Your Friends, Speed Mode should be checked out asap.
And new premium DLC
But further to that comes the Critical Hit pack. Priced at £3.49, this adds some fantasy to proceedings, with a ton of new cosmetic items.
