Prepare to climb the social ladders of The Golf Club 2 with the career and multiplayer societies

-

Come the end of the month, we’ll all be swinging our way to virtual glory in The Golf Club 2. Today though, a brand new trailer has emerged which highlights the new solo and multiplayer features which will be present.

Due for arrival on Xbox One, PS4 and PC come 30th June 2017, The Golf Club 2 will follow on from the rather successful original game, with a host of new features to boot. Two of those new features are a single player Career mode, and the addition of online Societies – both of which can be seen in the latest trailer.

Continuing the drive for a more realistic and authentic golf experience, The Golf Club 2 players will be able to climb the ranks to the upper echelons of elite golf clubs in Career Mode. You’ll begin your journey at small, local links courses, honing skills in these small competitions to earn your way into finer, more prestigious clubs and challenging tournaments.

Societies meanwhile will form the backbone of both Career Mode and general competition in The Golf Club 2. Players can create and run their own multiplayer societies with their friends, or join existing Societies that fit their skill level and playstyle. The owner of a Society can customise the clubhouse, Society logo, and more in order to create and display their own unique identities online.

You’ll be able to join up to five different Societies at once, but will be limited to just the one ‘primary’ Society that you will represent and compete for at a time. You’ll be able to do this by hosting online tournaments where Societies will buy-in to compete for prize pools. Winning these tournaments rewards with in-game currency that can be used to improve clubhouses and host larger, more challenging tournaments to see which Society has the skills to rise to the top.

The Golf Club 2 will also expand upon the popular Course Editor feature from The Golf Club, as over 150,000 user-generated courses from the inaugural title can all be imported by their original creators into The Golf Club 2. These courses can then be played immediately online, or creators can use the enhanced features and tools of the improved Course Editor to create more authentic tournament experiences by including additional details to courses, dynamic crowds of spectators and more.

If you want to get a head start on your career and pre-order The Golf Club 2 for £29.99, securing the “Day One” edition, you’ll get access to all of the following “Aristocrat” bonus in-game content:

  • Moneybags – Save time and get rich quick with an instant payout that will boost your career and give you serious purchasing power
  • Elite Club – Make your competitors jealous and stand out among the crowd with an exclusive 24K solid gold driver
  • Premier Clubhouse – Gain access to an exclusive high society clubhouse for you and your friends
  • Heirloom Apparel – Play in style with a throwback outfit from the golden age of golf
  • Elite Emblem – Add class to your Society logo with a signature badge

The Golf Club 2 from HB Studios and will be published by Maximum Games will become available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC come 27th June, 2017 in the US, and 30th June, 2017 in EMEA, Australia and New Zealand.
