There’s a pretty good chance that you’ve stumbled upon In Sound Mind, whether that be through the playable Steam demo that has been doing the PC rounds, via the Deluxe Edition which has been up for pre-order on the Maximum Games Store, or through our own articles, detailing the madness of the reality-bending psychological thriller over months gone by. Very soon though you’ll be able to take in the experience for real, as In Sound Mind gets a fully confirmed Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC release date, alongside a brand new trailer.

The release date is the most important thing here and come August 3rd 2021 In Sound Mind will be found launching on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. A first person horror adventure that comes from those of Modus Games and the team at We Create Stuff, In Sound Mind will thrust you into an experience that revolves around the unpredictable dangers that are found stirring in the deepest memories.

With an eerie soundtrack pushing things along, this is a game that will take the most basic of recollections and twist them into super shocking encounters played out through terrifying threats, scary scenes and the power of a mysterious talking cat.

In Sound Mind certainly looks like it’s going to deliver a bit of madness when it launches in August, and the latest trailer which accompanies the release date announcement plays on that fact. Make sure you give it a watch and let us know your thoughts.

Should you not be able to wait until August (and honestly, the way 2021 is moving along, it’ll be here before you know it), there’s always that Steam demo to take in.

If that doesn’t float interest, just hold tight and we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as In Sound Mind launches on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC come August 3rd 2021.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
