Take a trip to the Wild West with the Bombslinger on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch

-

If you are desperate for a Wild West fix in preparation for Red Dead Redemption, then Bombslinger is it.

Bombslinger stars a rancher on the quest to avenge his love and get back at his former posse for destroying his ranch. How will he do this? With bombs, of course!

As soon as you delve into the procedurally generated maze-like levels, you will instantly see that what we are dealing with here is a Bomberman type gig, with you planting bombs in areas of the map to reach your enemies, and obtaining power ups to give your attacks an added punch.

Your first port of call in Bombslinger will most likely be the solo campaign in which you fight through hordes of enemies across various levels, upgrading your character, and utilising a ton of offensive and defensive weapons in order to become the ultimate bombslinger!

And then when you want to take a break from blowing computer controlled enemies to kingdom come, then you can do the same with up three friends in Bombslinger’s local co-op! This will involve a load of power-ups to use, in either Last Man Standing or Deathmatch competitions. Every game we’ve played is pretty hectic, and it isn’t long before the entire map is lit with fire! Stand still and you’ll regret it.

If Bombslinger seems like the game for you, then you can pick it up on Xbox One for £9.59 from the Microsoft Store. Keep in mind Bombslinger has already released on PC, but is also out today on Nintendo Switch if you fancy slingin’ bombs on the go!

Should you need convincing that a poncho purchase is worth a go then make sure you hit up our full review.

Game Description:

Wear the poncho of the Bombslinger, a ruthless bandit turned peaceful rancher on a quest to avenge the murder of his missus and destruction of his ranch at the hands of his former posse. Bomb your way through hordes of enemies and master the classic bomb-slinging gameplay in a solo adventure with procedurally generated levels, character progression with skill upgrades, and a variety of offensive and defensive items. And when you want a break from the solo adventure, take the fight to your friends in hectic 4-player deathmatch battles!

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
