xbox game pass

Got an Xbox Game Pass subscription, yeah? Well, today is another great day in Game Pass-land as a trio of new titles drop onto the service, bringing with it more quests, more stories and more chickens in space…

Following on from seeing a few big hitters in the form of Surgeon Simulator 2, Crown Trick and Myst having arrived on Game Pass in recent times, today another three titles hit the scheme, and if you’re up for some new gaming experiences that cover a range of subjects and ideas, you’re certainly in luck.

We’ll take the two titles that are debuting as Day One additions first and they come in the form of Nuclear Throne and The Artful Escape.

The former of these arrives via the – now closed – Vlambeer team, as they give players the chance to partake in some roguelike top-down-shooting action. The quest? Well, it’s to reach the titular Nuclear Throne of course – but as with any shooter, the journey there won’t be particularly easy.

It does look good though and judging by the massively decent Steam reviews, this is one that you shouldn’t be skipping now that it hass hit Game Pass. Keep an eye out for our full review soon.

Also rolling out as a Day One Game Pass title is that of The Artful Escape. Coming from the famed Annapurna Interactive, we’ve been absolutely smitten by what The Artful Escape brings and urge you to give our full review of the game a little read

As a gaming experience it sees efforts focusing on one Francis Vendetti, a teenage guitar prodigy who is looking to take in his very first live performance. What plays out from there though is anything but standard, taking players across a psychedelic, multidimensional, musical journey.

The Artful Escape looks beautiful, it comes with some seriously decent musical jams, and is pushed along by an extremely tight story; one that is about as mad as you can imagine. It’s also got a ton of top quality voice talent on show too. This is one you won’t want to miss.

For many it’ll be the opportunity to take in a couple of brand new gaming experiences for little outlay that makes today an appealing Xbox Game Pass day, but for others – those looking to enjoy a story about chickens in space – it’ll be Breathedge that is the draw.

Having released back in April, Breathedge is pretty much Subnautica in space – at least those will be your first thoughts. It’s more than that though, giving Game Pass subscribers the chance to now take in a space-fuelled adventure in which you’ll be found crafting, building, exploring and fighting, all whilst accompanied by some stunning visuals and artwork.

It’s a game that requires a bit of patience, and whilst we can’t guarantee exactly how long Breathedge will be present on Xbox Game Pass, we’re sure it’ll find a home for just about long enough for you to get fully to grips with what it has to offer.

So, a trio of new Game Pass titles in the house, with each providing something just a little different to the next. We’re pretty sure you won’t be able to go wrong with playing through any of these three newbies, but let us know in the comments and via the socials which one you’ll be playing first. Head to the Xbox Store to sort out the downloads you need.
