It seems like the whole gaming industry has some weird fixation with cooking games and food all of a sudden. We could blame Overcooked!, we could point fingers at Cake Bash, or we could just shout loud words the way of Cook, Serve, Delicious!!! 3. Whatever the reason matters little though as we find another entry into the genre preparing to cook up a storm on Xbox and PC - Soup Pot.

Ever since the initial announcement back in the summer of 2020, Balan Wonderworld has had a bit of hype around it. It's from the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog for one, but then with the power of Square Enix behind it, the deliverance of a wonderfully creative and exciting world, AND the opportunity to work some magic with numerous technicolored dreamcoats, those hype meters went into overdrive. Since 2017, Die With Glory has been doing the rounds on PC and mobile, giving players the opportunity to fall into the shoes of a brave old viking warrior as they head of on the search of glory, and Valhalla. Today that same adventure comes to Xbox, and whilst those looking for the true afterlife would probably be best served by Ubisoft's epic Assassin's Creed Valhalla, this may well be able to fill a short, sharp gap.

Sometimes the simplest of gaming experiences are the best. At others, it's all about the wider picture.
