In what was possibly the biggest week for Xbox gamers since 2005, we look back at our favourite news and review articles to have graced the pages of TheXboxHub over the last week. Any idea where we’ll start?
Of course, we couldn’t get away with not mentioning the Xbox One games and console released this last week, with our In Stores This Week article. A regular Monday feature post on TXH, for the first time it was the next generation taking charge of the release list. With no fewer than 22 games out this last week on Xbox One, and a 23rd LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, also hitting the North American market, it was the perfect place to go to finally make our minds up on whether it would be Forza 5 or Battlefield 4 which was going to grace our consoles.

And then we have our review of the XBLA arcade puzzler The Bridge. A cross between Isaac Newton and M.C. Escher, The Bridge was hotly anticipated in many ways. Not only does it have a beautiful style but also a wide array of mind bending puzzles and from the very first moment you load the game up, you know you are in for something special. You can hit the link above to read the full review but let me tell you this……..if you decide to leave it, you’ll be missing out on something pretty special.

And with the Xbox One launch, we just had to cover the moment the Smartglass Apps went live. A big part of the whole Xbox One eco-system, Smartglass aims to bring another dimension to your gaming experience. Whilst we originally reported it dropping on Windows, Windows Phone and Android systems, it didn’t take long for the iOS app to also get approved by Apple and that means all three major mobile systems are now covered. So whether you are using Smartglass as another way to keep in touch with your Xbox Live friends, as somewhere to check on that all-important achievement process or as a second screen whilst playing the big Xbox One titles, I think we’ll all agree that it is something we all need in our lives.

We also threw out our Top 5 Xbox One trailers article just before the big release. Admittedly, we posted it before the Zumba Fitness World Party launch trailer came to our attention, but I’m not sure that would have made the cut anyway! Without spoiling things, I think I’m safe to say that the quality of videos coming out before the Xbox One launch was very high indeed and whilst I’m sure we all have our own favourites, those that made our top 5 list will no doubt be right up there on most gamers lists.
